Questions, bugs, billing problems, or privacy requests — one address reaches us for all of it.

Contact us

quititadmin@gmail.com

We aim to respond within 5 business days. Privacy requests are handled within the deadlines set out in the Privacy Policy.

To help us fix things faster, include your iOS version, your iPhone model, the QuitIt version from Settings → About, and what you were doing when the problem happened. Please do not include journal entries, log details, or anything else you would rather not put in an email — we can almost always help without them.

If you are in crisis

QuitIt is a self-help tool and this inbox is not monitored around the clock. If you are thinking about harming yourself or are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number now. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, call Samaritans on 116 123. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free helplines by country.

Subscriptions and billing

QuitIt Premium is sold and billed by Apple. That means Apple — not us — holds your payment details, processes renewals, and issues refunds. Here is where to go for each thing:

Manage or cancel

On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → QuitIt.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.

Request a refund

Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.

We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but email us if Apple declines one you believe you are owed.

Restore purchases

In QuitIt: Settings → Restore Purchases.

Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you originally purchased with.

Billing questions

Charges appear from Apple, not QuitIt. Check your purchase history at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Still unclear? Email us and we will help you work out what happened.

Common questions

Do I need an account to use QuitIt?

No. QuitIt works fully without signing in, and it always will. An account only adds encrypted cloud backup and sync across devices. If you never sign in, your data never leaves your phone through us.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your logs are stored on your device. If you turn on an account, they are encrypted on your phone before upload with a key that only your device holds, so we cannot read them. We never sell your data and there is no advertising or tracking in QuitIt. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

I lost my data after reinstalling. Can you recover it?

If you had an account and are signing back in with the same Apple Account on the same device, your encrypted backup should restore automatically. If it does not, email us.

If you never had an account, or you erased the device holding your encryption key, we genuinely cannot recover the data — end-to-end encryption means we have no readable copy. This is the trade-off that keeps your logs private from us. We recommend exporting a backup periodically from Settings → Export Data.

How do I export my data?

In QuitIt: Settings → Export Data. You get a JSON file containing your logs, journal entries, and settings, which you can save or move anywhere. This also satisfies your right to data portability under the GDPR.

How do I delete my account?

In QuitIt: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Full instructions, including what gets deleted and when, are on the Account Deletion page.

Does deleting the app cancel my subscription?

No. Deleting the App and deleting your account both leave your subscription running. You must cancel it through Apple in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

My streak or progress looks wrong.

Progress is calculated from the days you have logged, so a missing or mis-dated entry is the usual cause. Check your log history and correct any entry with the wrong date. If the numbers still look wrong, email us with the dates involved — no details of the entries needed — and we will investigate.

Is QuitIt therapy, or medical advice?

No. QuitIt is a self-help tracking tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything, its self-assessment is not a clinical instrument, and its suggestions come from simple rule-based logic, not a clinician. It works best alongside professional support, not instead of it. See section 3 of the Terms of Service.

Do you have an Android version?

QuitIt is currently available on iOS only.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Email quititadmin@gmail.com. We read everything, and a good bug report with your device and iOS version is genuinely useful.

Someone is behaving badly in a community feature.

Use the in-app report and block tools — they are the fastest route and give us the context we need. For anything urgent or serious, email us directly. Our conduct rules are in section 6 of the Terms of Service.
